Practical Information
CICLOBCN21 will have a in person and virtual format and, with regard to the the first case, all the necessary security measures will be guaranteed in accordance with the COVID-19 protocols set at any given time. As the protocols are adapted according to the evolution of the pandemic, it could be that in the event that the situation gets worse in the coming days, all participants will be asked for a vaccination certificate or, failing that, an antigen test to access the congress venue. At the moment this measure is not planned, but if this were finally the case we would notify you as soon as possible.
The use of a mask is mandatory.

How to get there
If you come with your own bicycle, you can easily access it by the bike lanes of Avinguda Diagonal and Carrer Numància. You will also have a space enabled to park it inside the enclosure of the tent that we will enable for the CICLOBCN21 exhibition.

Alternatives to flying to Barcelona
From Central and Northern Europe you can reach Barcelona via EuroVelo Routes that will take you to South-eastern France from where you can follow EuroVelo 8 – Mediterranean Route. If you plan to reach Spain via the Atlantic coast, following EuroVelo 1 – Atlantic Coast Route or EuroVelo 3 – The Pilgrims Route, you can try cross the Pyrenees to get to Barcelona through the 800km TRANSPIRENAICA trail.
If you want to plan a combined bike and train trip from Northern/Central Europe to Barcelona, Spain, you would be able to hop on Intercity trains in Germany, France, Switzerland or Italy. You will be able to hop on regional (Cercanías) trains once in Spain. This article explains the bicycle transportation policies of the different train operators in the country.
Combining rail and bus is also an option! You can check the different railway /bus companies that will take you to Paris. From Paris to Barcelona there is a 6.5 hour train operated in a joint venture by RENFE-SNFC, be aware that you can’t take your bike with you in this train.
You will be happy to hear that transporting bicycles on public transport in Barcelona is allowed for the most part. Bikes can be taken on trams, provided the number of passengers at any given moment allows itand transported on the metro at certain times.
Get around Barcelona by bike!
During the congress days you will be able to use free electric bikes from two sharing companies in Barcelona. Cooltra and RideMovie will give you free minutes to use their bikes during your stay!
